A Message From the Chair

It’s always been a great privilege to be involved with Youthwise and I feel very honoured to be its Chairman. The small group of people who support Youthwise, the trustees and the executive management team, work very hard during the year to ensure that the project is well supported and financed. Members of the management team mainly come from the community and are committed to making a difference to young people’s lives and experiences.

We are always anxious to invite new members to join us, so if this appeals to you, please contact me or one of my colleagues.

The trustees and the management team work very closely with the project manager, Nick Cleaver, and his team of workers. Their work is impressive and all of them are dedicated and professional youth workers specialising in detached work. This means going out in all weathers and looking for groups of young people wherever they gather. Coming alongside them takes patience and dedication. The work can be very slow and sometime difficult to monitor and it make take many meetings to build up confidence and a worthwhile relationship.
